It is made-65% polyester and 35% rayon, making this Iaido Hakama firm but lightest weight in its class. Professional quality alloy and steel Iaito for Iaido and Koryu sword practices. Good to have different sizes for youth/ kids I have a 42 inch waist and this was your largest size and is still too short to tie properly My only complaint is that you don't carry any larger sizes for big and tall people. When tied properly, it is too thick, and even interfered with the positioning of my hakama.
